Eastern District and Franconia Conferences are networks of congregations, ministries, partnerships and initiatives in Pennsylvania, Massachusetts, New Jersey, and Vermont. Both conferences are rooted in over 300 years of Anabaptist witness and faith. They are also two of 20 conferences that comprise Mennonite Church USA (MCUSA). While serving different congregations, both conferences are untied in mission and ministry. Our congregations are often found working side by side and hand in hand. Many congregations within Eastern District and Franconia Conferences overlap in geography, this allows them unique opportunities to partner with one another for shared ministry projects. Learn about a few of those projects below.
- Project Haven is a ministry all about community building through partnerships with schools, churches, non-profits, businesses, and anybody who wants to make their town/school district a better place. Several Eastern District and Franconia congregations benefit and support this ministry and their various projects.
- Salem Mennonite Church and West Swamp Mennonite Church came together to support Code Blue Quakertown assisting in providing for the homeless during the winter months.
- The congregations of Deep Run West, Finland, and Perkiomenville joined together to help build the East Greenville Action Park, which expanded the Main Street Park, skate park and surrounding areas, to inspire and invest in the local youth, and increase the value of the park to the community.
