June 18 announcements

This week all congregations in Eastern District & Franconia Conference are praying for Roaring Spring  Mennonite Church in Roaring Spring, PA.  The church asks for your prayers as they are trusting God for their future after recent, unexpected expenses have put a strain on their finances. The African Children’s Choir will be performing at Franconia Mennonite Church on Sunday, June 23 at 6:30 pm. A free-will offering will be received.


Comforter Blitz will be held at Franconia Mennonite Church, Tuesday, June 25 from 8:00 am to 9:00 pm and Wednesday, June 26 from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm.  They will be knotting comforters for Mennonite Central Committee, which will provide warmth as well as a tangible message to people, that they are not forgotten!  All are invited for as long as you’re able to stay.


You’re invited to the annual summer hymn sing on Sunday, June 30, 6:30 pm in the upper fellowship hall of Franconia Mennonite Church. They will be singing out of the “Life Songs #2” hymnal – please bring your copy if you have one. The hymn sing will be followed with an ice cream social. 


Nueva Vida Norristown New Life will be named a Zone of Peace on Sunday, July 21, 5:30 pm by the Religious Leaders Council of Greater Philadelphia. All are welcome to join in an intercultural celebration of God’s peace and justice ministries at NVNNL’s meetinghouse.  An offering for NVNNL’s Partners for Sacred Places matching fund will be received.
