Saturday, September 15, it’s Remington Ryde and The Brunners under the Line Lexington Mennonite Church big tent for a Gospel / Bluegrass Concert!  Bring your lawn chairs, and arrive early for a good seat.  The music starts at 6:00 pm; tickets are not necessary, but a donation of $15.00 per person is suggested.  “Dig’s Dogs” is the food vendor — good food + great music = fabulous night! 


Men’s Encounter is a weekend of spiritual challenge and renewal for men of all ages. Freedom is gained through worship, testimony, teaching and confession. The dates are September 21-23, and information and registration is available at


Liberty Ministries will be holding a 5K run, Breaking Chains, on Sunday, September 30 at Upper Salford Park beginning at 2:30 pm.  Proceeds will be used for prison ministry programming.  For registration info and sign-up, click here or call 484-901-6803.


The 100th-anniversary celebration of the Norristown Mission has been changed to Saturday, November 17. Sister congregations who have been a part of the ministry are encouraged to send two representatives to bear witness to the partnership in the gospel of Jesus Christ. Site visits to the former First and Bethel churches begin at 5:30 p.m., and the 6:30 p.m. celebration at Nueva Vida Norristown New Life will include testimonies and vision casting for the future. Dock Mennonite Academy Grade 9 to 12 campus is seeking donations of specific instruments for their band program.  They’re in need of low brass and low woodwind instruments such as tuba, euphonium, baritone, tenor sax, baritone sax and bass clarinet.  If you are willing to donate an instrument, please contact Alan Shughart at or call the main office – 215-362-2675.  All donations will be followed with a letter acknowledging your gift-in-kind donation.
