You Are Invited to “Welcoming Jesus: A Christmas Oasis Experience for Women”.  This mini spiritual retreat will be held Saturday, December 2, 9:00 am to 12:00 noon in the Franconia Mennonite Church Fellowship Hall.  Led by Doris Diener, this event will help you prepare your hearts and minds in anticipation of celebrating the birth of our Savior. Come away for a time, away from the busyness of the season, and meet Jesus in a new and refreshing way. Cost is a donation – to sign up, call the church office at 215-723-3220.

 

You are invited to the Christmas Market Show & Sale at the Mennonite Heritage Center, December 2 to 30.  Featuring fine crafts and art for purchase, opening day on December 2 will feature a one-day-only Farm Market in the historic Nyce Barn, with local produce and specialty foods.  For hours and info, visit www.mhep.org.    

 

Take time away from the busyness of the season to relax, enjoy dinner that you don’t have to make, and refocus! A Women’s Christmas Dinner will be held Tuesday, December 5, 6:00-8:30 pm at Camp Men-O-Lan.  There will be a hot cocoa and coffee bar, carol singing, a time of sharing, and music by the QCHS Varsity Singers. Join Deep Run West Mennonite Church for a Christmas Community Fun Night, Wednesday December 6 from 6:00 to 8:30 pm.  There will be a casual supper from 6:00 to 7:00 pm, followed by an outdoor Christmas drama — “Twas the Night Before Christmas” — and singing of carols, hot cocoa and cookies.  This event is free; if you have questions, email deeprunwest@verizon.net.

 

A Christmas Luncheon will be held Thursday, December 14, 10:30 am-12:30 pm at Camp Men-O-Lan.  Join them for a delicious meal, fellowship, and a time of Christmas caroling. Les & Linda Rice will share about their ministry helping homeless people during the cold winter months through Code Blue. A free will offering with a suggested $10 donation will be taken and they will also be collecting cookie ingredients for Crossroads Philadelphia. Zion Mennonite Church is seeking a part-time Director of Music to direct adult and youth choirs, bell choir, and to lead congregational singing for Sunday morning worship and seasonal services.  Qualifications include strong Christian faith commitment, ability to work with children and adults, ability to work collaboratively with pastors, organist and other staff.  15 hours/week.  For more information contact Pastor Sonya Stauffer Kurtz at sonya@zionmennonite.org.
