August 29 announcements

A Women’s Bible Study will be held at Deep Run East Mennonite Church on Thursdays from 9:30 am to 11:00 am, September 7 through December 7.  This DVD and group discussion time will focus on the series, “That the World May Know” with Ray Vander Laan. The two series books will be, With All Your Heart and Walking with God. Cost is $9.00 per participant guide (optional), and no registration is necessary. 


Want to grow your spirit of generosity? Join Everence on Tuesday, September 12, 7:00 pm at the Souderton Mennonite Church Fellowship Hall. Join Salford Mennonite Church on September 15 & 16 at 7:30 pm for two performances of Ted Swartz & Friends’ original drama These Are My People: Reflections of Salford at 300.  Presented as part of their 300th anniversary celebration, the show features Ted Swartz and a talented cast of Salford members in a fast-paced, humorous, and poignant look at 300 years of the Salford Mennonite community. A free will offering will be received.


Salford Mennonite Church announces their 300th Anniversary Community Festival, September 16, 9:30 am to 2:30 pm in the Salford Grove.  Join them for local history bus tours with John Ruth (reservation required, call the church office at 215-256-0778), cemetery tours with Joel Alderfer, volleyball and horseshoe competitions, a creek walk for children and their parents, and of course food, music, and fellowship!

Atlantic Coast Conference’s 2017 Leadership Resource Day will be held Friday, October 27, 9:00 am to 4:00 pm at Conestoga Mennonite Church in Morgantown.  This event will feature Nathan Stucky and Jon Heinly leading times of training and active participation to explore the issues of relevance and revitalization as they apply to the 21st century church.  The cost is $15 per person; register at
