Karen’s Place — the coffee shop ministry of Doylestown Mennonite Church — continues their “Monday Nights in August” concert series. Every Monday night in August at 7:30 pm will feature an outdoor concert, including Basic Connection with special guests Dominick Cox and Egypt Speaks on August 14. Souderton Mennonite Homes, as part of their 100th Anniversary and Chicken BBQ event, is hosting the Annual Paul and Stella Godshall Memorial Hymn Sing Under the Tent on Sunday, August 27, at 6:00 pm.  They are also encouraging donors, residents, family and friends to make a special gift of $100 or more to the Souderton Mennonite Homes Agape Fund. Donations should be made out to Living Branches Foundation, and earmarked “Agape $100 for 100 Years”.  The Agape Fund is the benevolent care fund that provides financial assistance to residents at the Souderton campus who are no longer able to pay the full cost of their care.

Bally Mennonite Church will be serving a pancake breakfast (including pancakes, French toast, sausage, scrapple, OJ, tea, & coffee) on Saturday, September 16 from 7:00 to 11:00 am.  The cost is a donation, and proceeds will provide funds for the Sahara Children’s home in Nepal. Join MCC East Coast October 10 to 15 for their Borderlands Learning Tour to the US/Mexico Border. Participants will increase their understanding and knowledge of the social and theological significance of migration, including advocacy tools and capacity building to engage others on borderlands and migration issues.  The cost of is $500 for the six days, which includes all meals, modest lodging and transportation on sites, and you will need a passport.
