June 6 announcements

Author Ervin Stutzman will speak on his most recent book, Christian’s Hope, on Sunday, June 11 at 2:00 pm at the Mennonite Heritage Center.  He will reflect on the themes that prompted the book as well as the impulses that impelled the writing of the entire Return to Northkill series. The June issue of Peace & Justice News from the Peace & Justice Committee of Eastern District and Franconia Conferences is now posted at  efpjc.ppjr.org. This issue includes stories on immigration enforcement and sanctuary, climate change, public school funding, bail bond, and other topics.


The International Volunteer Exchange Program, offered by MCC, is a yearlong work and cultural exchange opportunity for international Christian young adults aged 18-30 to work and serve in the US or Canada from August to July of each year.  They are currently in need of host families in the Souderton/Lansdale area; if you are interested in becoming a host or know someone who might be a good fit for this role, please encourage them to check out the website or call 717-333-5583.
