Karen’s Place — the coffee shop ministry of Doylestown Mennonite Church — continues their “Monday Nights in August” concert series. Every Monday night in August at 7:30 pm will feature an outdoor concert, including Call Me Found with special guest Liz Collins on August 21 and Dana Isles & Facedown with special guest Wendy Schettig on August 28. New Eden Fellowship is hosting a multi-church Praise and Worship Night on Friday, August 25, at 7:00 pm.  Praise teams from Perkiomenville Mennonite Church, Central Schwenkfelder Church, and New Eden will lead the worship.  

 

The next Photo ID Clinic will be Saturday, August 26, 10 am to 12 noon at New Life Internet Café, 19 W. Marshall Street in Norristown. Need a photo ID, birth certificate, Social Security card, voter registration or social services applications? Souderton Mennonite Church is offering a ministry called DivorceCare — a 13-week course offering support, counsel and encouragement to people who have been through the pain of divorce or are separated from their spouse. DivorceCare will meet weekly on Wednesday nights, 7 to 8:30 pm starting September 6. For more information or to join this group please contact divorcecare@soudertonmennonite.org.

 

Saturday, September 16, 6:30 pm is the Gospel / Bluegrass Fall Concert under the big tent at Line Lexington Mennonite Church.  The featured performers are Bobby Hamm & the Bluegrass Brothers, plus the Carroll County Ramblers. Tickets not required, but a donation of $10.00 is suggested per person. Some chairs will be provided, but you may want to bring your lawn chair.

 

The 10th Annual benefit banquet for the Worm Project will be held Saturday, September 16, 6:00 pm at the Franconia Heritage Restaurant.  Come see how donations are transforming the lives of malnourished children and hear the inspiring first-hand stories for partners working all around the world.  The meal is free and donations will be accepted.  Please RSVP to info@wormproject.org by September 10.

Don’t miss the Apple Butter Frolic, Saturday October 7, 9:30 am to 4:00 pm at the Mennonite Heritage Center! The Frolic is an opportunity to learn how Mennonites and their neighbors lived 100 or more years ago, and is great fun for young and old alike. The event features a pancake & apple sausage breakfast (7:30-10:30 am), folk craft demonstrations, food, children’s activities, farming demonstrations and much more.
