Souderton Mennonite Church will be the host site for an Alzheimer’s Association sponsored Dementia Caregiver’s Support Group held the fourth Thursday of the month beginning February 23 at 6:30 pm. This group is open to friends, family members and caregivers of someone with Alzheimer’s Disease or a related Dementia. For more info, contact Debbie Hedrick at 215-350-6452.

 

Kairos: School of Spiritual Formation will be hosting internationally-known speaker and author Shane Claiborne at Calvary Church, 1051 Landis Valley Rd, Lancaster on February 24 at 7:00 pm.  Tickets are $20/person when reserved online, and $25/person at the door.  Register online here. Karen’s Place — the coffee shop ministry of Doylestown Mennonite Church – kicks off their 16th Annual Blues-Rock Madness Month on March 4, featuring Raging Grace.  Doors open at 7:00 pm; there is no admission charge, and they will donate a percentage of proceeds to Worthwhile Wear. Make your summer plans now to join SWAP in Kentucky. Groups or individuals can volunteer to serve as week-long volunteers doing home repair ministry all while learning about life in Appalachia. SWAP is also looking for summer staff to serve as job site coordinators and meals coordinators/cooks for three-month assignments. Brethren Woods, a Church of the Brethren affiliated summer camp located in western Virginia, is looking to hire a Peace and Justice Director to teach classes to the approximately 560 children and youth who attend their summer camp program each summer. The Peace and Justice Director would have the responsibility to teach Biblical, historical, and theological understandings of peace as well as practical conflict resolution skills to our campers. The ideal candidate has a strong Christian faith, some undergraduate coursework completed in the area of peace and justice studies, and a working knowledge of and ability to teach conflict resolution skills to others.
